A Childhood Walk

This painting was inspired by a small road surrounded by trees and rice fields in my village. Banana trees are especially common throughout Thailand, and they are a familiar part of the landscape I grew up with. I have always loved banana trees because they can be used in many ways—not only for their fruit, but also for their flowers, which are used in some local dishes and soups. The road depicted in the painting is one that my younger brother, my mother, and I used to walk along when we were children. It brings back memories of growing up in a quiet and peaceful environment, surrounded by nature. Sometimes, we would hear frogs, insects, or birds in the distance. The painting reflects one of those simple but memorable moments from my childhood—an ordinary place that has remained meaningful to me over time.

A colorful landscape painting of a narrow path winding through lush green fields. A large tree with spreading branches stands in the foreground, while rolling hills and a calm body of water appear in the distance. The scene is surrounded by greenery beneath a bright, partly cloudy sky

A View from that Backyard

This painting was inspired by the view from a French man’s backyard. The original landscape is in France, surrounded by mountains, greenery, and a peaceful coastline. I was drawn to the contrasts in the landscape and especially to the perspective from the backyard. One day, someone messaged me on Instagram to tell me that he admired my paintings. He had discovered my work through one of my reel videos, and we soon realized that we shared an interest in painting. He is a photographer and also a beginner in oil painting, and he sent me some beautiful landscape photographs he had taken. This painting was inspired by one of those photographs. I told him, “Thank you for the inspiration. When I painted it, I’ll send it back to you.” The painting became a small exchange of inspiration between two people who connected through their shared love of art.
