A View from that Backyard

This painting was inspired by the view from a French man’s backyard. The original landscape is in France, surrounded by mountains, greenery, and a peaceful coastline. I was drawn to the contrasts in the landscape and especially to the perspective from the backyard.

One day, someone messaged me on Instagram to tell me that he admired my paintings. He had discovered my work through one of my reel videos, and we soon realized that we shared an interest in painting. He is a photographer and also a beginner in oil painting, and he sent me some beautiful landscape photographs he had taken.

This painting was inspired by one of those photographs. I told him, “Thank you for the inspiration. When I painted it, I’ll send it back to you.” The painting became a small exchange of inspiration between two people who connected through their shared love of art.
