This painting was inspired by a small road surrounded by trees and rice fields in my village. Banana trees are especially common throughout Thailand, and they are a familiar part of the landscape I grew up with. I have always loved banana trees because they can be used in many ways—not only for their fruit, but also for their flowers, which are used in some local dishes and soups.

The road depicted in the painting is one that my younger brother, my mother, and I used to walk along when we were children. It brings back memories of growing up in a quiet and peaceful environment, surrounded by nature. Sometimes, we would hear frogs, insects, or birds in the distance.

The painting reflects one of those simple but memorable moments from my childhood—an ordinary place that has remained meaningful to me over time.
